I would love to say I have something fun or quippy to say today but I don't.
In real life I'm a teacher and my heart breaks every time I hear about a school shooting. School is supposed to be a safe haven, the one place where no child should ever fear going but somewhere along the way our society has become so violent that our children are no longer safe from death, even when surrounded by friends and teachers.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the families, teachers, staff, administrators, and rescue crews in Newton.

Mystery Pearls
Good morning darlings! And what a morning...I'm drinking the worst cup of coffee I have ever had but I desperately need the caffeine so I'm ignoring the terrible back taste in my mouth.
Yesterday I arrived home from work to find a package waiting for me. Now those of you who know me are aware that I shop almost exclusively online, however none of my online shopping ever includes Sears.com. It's just not my style! Yet here was this box...I assumed it was something for the kitchen- a dishwasher part maybe? But no.
I opened it up and it was a sparkly, dangly little pearl drop necklace that I had never seen before in my life! Of course I immediately texted my other half to ask if he had perhaps ordered it...Nope!
Mystery....Do I perhaps have a secret admirer?
With my luck my secret admirer is an identity thief...

The joy of computers...
All I can say this morning is thank goodness for internet backup because last night my giant photo editing computer decided life was no longer worth living. That's right...it died. But, in a stroke of pure utter dumb luck, the hard drive backed itself up mere hours before it breathed its last so I only lost a few files!
Moral of the story? BACK EVERYTHING UP!
Have a sparkling day darlings! I know I'm going to try to!

Pinup Favs
Before I turn in for the night, Loungers want to know who your fav pinup gal is. Is it the ever impressive Dita? The effervescent Marilyn? Or the daring Bettie Page?
Or could it even be...Ava Danger?

The Lounge is Live!
It took a few hours of work but Miss Kitty's Pinup Lounge is now live! Visit us today and please, please, please use the comment space on this post to let me know about any bugs, issues, or glaring errors.
Keep in mind the site is still under construction so the package prices are not yet up, nor is the calendar available yet. All constructive comments are more than welcome but snipes and snark will not be tolerated.
Hope you love it!

Passion for Pinup
Good morning darlings! For my first ever post here at the Lounge I'd like to introduce myself and welcome you to the Lounge! I'm Kitty Berlin, Pinup Madame and I'm thrilled to have you here!
Now that you've taken the time to stop by, let me tell you about our most recent photo shoot at a gorgeous little spot in the heart of Holyoke, Massachusetts. Yes, I know what you're thinking...there can't possibly be anything lovely in that city, but I promise you there is!
The Canal Gallery on Dwight Street is a converted mill space that is home to some of the city's most accomplished artists. Almost every square foot of the mill has been arranged and decorated in the most glamorous way, creating a different studio scene around every corner! It's a must see for photographers, models, and artists alike, no matter what your passion.
I promise to have more for you later. For now, enjoy my favorite shot from this weekend with the lovely Gloria Jean!
